Notes: John Hughes is an Australian roleplayer, editor, author and former convention organiser. An anthropologist by training, he lives in the verdant wilderness of Canberra with his wife Pip and a semi-reformed feral cat named Taraltara. By day, he slaves as a social science editor at the Australian National University. By night... well, you all know that bit.
John's main roleplaying interests are Glorantha in all its forms and systemless convention gaming. His wider interests include myth, religion, bardic poetry andlive action trollball.
John and Pip became involved in roleplaying in the early nineteen eighties via Runequest and the world's first freeforms. They went on to found the Wyrm's Footprint, a design group that were for many years a mainstay of the Australian convention roleplaying circuit.
John is most associated with systemless gaming and 'multiforming', and as an organiser of Necronomicon and Phenomenon. He has written some thirty five convention roleplaying games, multiforms and freeforms.
John's main roleplaying publications are contributions to Greg Stafford's world of Glorantha, as an author, editor and storyteller. A practicing Orlanthi, he has an unhealthy obsession with ducks.
