Notes: Worked in the computer industry, tried his hand at freelance. Went back to computers. Met Paul Barnett of OGC, got the faith, went freelance. Still a great man, still drawing huge beasts.
Headsman (Jun 2, 2004 - 3:45 AM CDT): I've always been impressed by Wayne's work & have collected it whenever possible (even when I haven't liked the text it decorated) - Has anyone ever suggested that Wayne's work be collected & sold in a specific art/graphics book, because I know many people who would be quick to pick it up if one was offered... Mario Boulanger (Nov 28, 2004 - 4:35 AM CST): In all the years I've seen artist come and go, and am a fond admirer of all things fantastically artistic. For me Mr. Reynolds goes to the top with the likes of Easley, Elmore, Wilkinson, Otus, and many more. I tip my hat to you sir, in hopes that we may someday share some of my inspirations under your miracle pen. Thanks to you my hopes in fresh and sparkling new worlds of imagination has awakened my senses to a new age of fantasy. Be seeing you Sir.
War aka Mario Boulanger
(Yes I'm the same guy who wrote for Sword and Sorcery, and a fond thanks to you guys and gals of Pen & Paper for the show of encouragement in my work)
Jason (Jan 3, 2005 - 4:49 PM CST): One of the BEST artists I've seen in a long time! Captures the fantasy genre perfectly. A huge inspiration to me. Would love to one day follow in his illustrating footsteps (although time is running oput fort his old one :P). Dan T (Jan 22, 2005 - 9:16 AM CST): Wayne Reynolds is a truly inspiring artist. He combines a very edgy, dynamic style with badass and original design. his color and black and white artwork has inspired me for years. just about anything this guy paints looks amazing. I, too would be overjoyed if some of his work was collected and published in an art book or something.
again, Wayne Reynolds is inspirational. if you haven't seen his art, you are really missing out. Kristen (Jul 31, 2005 - 4:45 AM CDT): Hi. I love your work, but you really need a bigger variety of prints :) I'd mug someone for that St. Cuthbert in Complete Divine.
Kelly B.: (Oct 17, 2006 - 11:31 AM CDT) Mr. Reynolds is a truly inspiring fantasy artist. His creativity and fresh perspective on fantasy art blow the mind. I've loved his work for years, and WOTC can thank him personally for my purchases of their books due solely to the work of Wayne Reynolds.
Ever thought of compiling an art book, Wayne? I'd buy certainly buy it!
Don't ever leave this business Wayne, for the art world will suffer a loss not seen since the passing of Keith Parkinson. Dan (May 4, 2007 - 10:30 AM CDT): Is there any way to get a look at the cover art from Shadows of the Last War? I can't seem to find that anywhere and I'm dying to get a better look at it!
