Aaron Clark (Apr 8, 2003 - 2:04 AM EDT):
Well, I read the above reviews and I must say that while they capture the feel of the UNderground game, the mechanics and the like they do not capture what playing a game is like. All thoughout collage I played in a regular Gaming group, we played CoC, all the Vampire and Werewolf games, Shadowrun, some Twilight 2000, heck we even played good old ADandD. The game we always came back to was Underground.

Why? Becasue it was so much damn fun. Half my charectors went nuts during the creation processe, the others were usually homcidal maniacs when thier phsycosis manifested. What game lets you be a 17 foot tall mamoth with four arms totting a 75mm (yes howitzer size) man cannon one day and a super invisible nija with extremley bad paranoia the next.

I remember one game where my invisible warrior (Dr. Neverwhere) went insane, manifested a sever paranoia. The players told em to take my meds, the GM said that the players told me my meds were poison. What did I do? Kill the group.

Sure, it wasn't as politcal and intruigeie as Vampire, it wasn't as techno savvy as gurps cyberpunk or shadowrun, but it was a blast. The system was smooth and easy once you got used to it and the WORLD! Very Very well developed. Yes, its got a very heavy leftits tilt, but who says you have to 'embrace the left'. HEck, we played secret government boost half the time.

All in all, this is the game that I wish I had a group to play with now. You can get every book printed in this short lived series for about 100.00 on the web site, probably much less in bargin or online. All in all, its definatly worth it, heck Ways and Means the DC book can be taken as a treaties on where we could be going in polotics, especially as our civil rights are slowly stripped away.

All in all a great game
