Haven Vol 1 - The Free City (1981)

Haven Vol 1 - The Free City
Publisher:Gamelords Ltd.
Game Line:GamesMasters' Series
Game System:The Fantasy System
# of Pages:128

Notes: A city of 80,000 people can provide a lot of adventure, especially when it's already the site of many of the adventures in the "Thieves' Guild" series - but you don't have to be a thief to enjoy all the city has to offer; scores of temples and religions, taverns and barkeeps, beggars and wealthy business men, shops and homes. Multitudes of encounters to occupy even the busiest of adventurers. Nominally produced for "The Fantasy System RPG" (simialr to d20) and the "Thieves' Guild" series, in fact this can be used as a generic fantasy setting. Also known as "The Free City of Haven".

Contents: 128 loose leaf pages, 10 card maps & 1 large colour map.

Chaosium did indeed gain the rights to publish The Free City of Haven.
While Chaosium does indeed own the right to that title, we have not yet published it. We are contemplating the best way to get that nice book to market, though it probably will not see any activity until next year at the earliest.
Thanks from the Chaosium Crew!!

Would Chaosium be interested in the third Haven book, which was never published? Or the participation of any of the original designers? Contact me.

Whoa! This item is nice. I like the city and I love the imagination in Thieves Guild and other Gamelords products. One of the more useable and interesting fantasy cities out there. It is still available in a boxed set for reasonable money.
