Ron Belcher (Jan 23, 2005 - 5:51 PM CST):
Along with the two "main" books; (A). "The Heroes of Nippon" - Book I & ( B). "The Land of Nippon" - Book II ... the RPGr can also find the well written Role Playing Adventure, "Valley of the Mists" (dtd: 1982) as designed by Bob Charrette.
"VotM" is the first adventure pack for use with Bushido. This package contains three inter-related adventures and additional information filling out an entire province. Also included is a new kind of magic (Tea Magic), and several new types of legendary beings. Note that the module/adventure is not a complete game on its' own. "VotM" is designed for use with the Bushido game system and Bushido is necessary for the use of this adventure pack.

Just a nitpick....several places (not on this site) I have seen list 1980 as the date of the TYR first edition. That can't be right. I started playing Bushido my last year in college and I graduated in 1979.

I just picked up both books at my local used bookstore.

My copies list a copyright date of 1980. Same credits as above, but they are published by Phoenix Games of Rockville MD. Did FGU buy Phoenix out? Does anybody know?

Yeah, if you where playing Bushido in 1979, you had 1st editions published by Tyr Gamesmakers Ltd in 1978. It was reprinted by Phoenix Games in 1980, then it was picked up by Fantasy Games Unlimited and printed again in 1981. There is a short review of the Tyr edition of Bushido on pg46 of The Dragon magazine issue #34 from February of 1980, pretty interesting.

Destroyer: (Jul 30, 2010 - 1:28 PM MDT)
Besides the Valley of the Mists scenario, a smaller one called Takishido's Debt was published as well. This was published by a British outfit called "Games of Liverpool" but was approved by FGU. Even the cover stated that it was an official module.
