The Happy Hobbit: (Apr 21, 2007 - 10:20 PM CDT)
Epic, yeah. Interesting? yeah. But FM falls into "it" and can't smell the possibilities for the stink. By the time you get to the elemental nodes and things, a party is facing creatures like Zuggtmoy, "Demoness Lady of Fungi, dread and fell ruler of the 222nd ghastly plane of the Abyss" Really? uh-huh. You got it. She's powerful enough to rule an entire level of the Abyss, but the party is doing to defeat her! Yeh, right. Another over-ambitious design with no logical reason why every character in the party doesn't end up dead, and torn to pieces and scattered all over the 222nd plane! Oh, except if you have a naieve DM who wants to please his players, so that when it's "His" turn to play, they'll pile the goodies on him! P-U!
