A great game, clever settings and easy to play. The combat system is simple and lethal if played properly. This means that characters cannot just run up shooting taking damage on their hit points or some other abstract system. This means that experinced characters are just as vunerable to damage as the rookies.

The setting, while it caused some controversy allows a wide range of gaming styles. You can play it like a Mad Max style nomadic setting, the establishment of civilisation in a world without rules, a simple hunt for survival, a supernatural thriller... the posibilities are limited by the GM.

Finally while many originally looked at the idea of the end of the world, via the book of revolations, as offensive, the reality is that the religious overtones are entirely at the choice of the GM and players. It is really just a means to an end (no pun intended) if they decide to ignore it. The back story is excellent, but a similar setting could have occurred by a nuclear war.
