June 07, 2002 The Thieves? Arm released by the Unspoken Word (for Hero Wars)Edited by Mark Galeotti and Simon Bray
The Unspoken Word, USW1002, ISBN 1-904241-02-6
Dragon Pass is under Imperial occupation, and the banner of rebellion has been raised. This is a time of heroes and saviours, liberators and generals. But it is also a time of unexpected nobility. Can you forge an army out of the outlaws, bandits, renegades and neerdowells of the Pass? You have the courage of your convictions and the otherworldly help of the magical Blade in the Shadows. However, against you are ranged not only the massed armies and magics of the Lunar Empire, but also a dangerous imperial magistrate and his own private army, who seems to predict your every move.
This handsomely-illustrated 64-page book marks The Unspoken Word?s shift from producing a magazine to books in support of Issaries, Inc.?s Hero Wars and HeroQuest games systems and the fantasy world of Glorantha. It contains a wide range of criminal groups, keywords, cults and characters for your games, as well as original scenarios and the secrets of the thief god Lanbril. Holding them together is an optional story arc which takes them from battling across the bandit country of the Tarsh Exiles, through adventures, mishaps and heroquests, to a climactic mob war in the Lunar city of Furthest.

November 09, 2001 Issaries, Inc. Revises Release Schedule Issaries, Inc. announced today a revision of its release
schedule through Spring 2002.
"Production delays are the day to day story of small publishers," says Greg
Stafford, Issaries president. "Our layout artist had to have an emergency
Cesarean section. She is doing well, and we now have a new artist finishing
Barbarian Adventures." Barbarian Adventures (ISS 1401), previously
scheduled for releas in October, has been delayed until November, 2001, and
this in turn will bump all of the other releases back by at least a month.
"We've revised our entire schedule as well," says Stafford, "based on
projected sales and income. Cash flow will determine release dates.
Optimistically, we can release an item per month based on materials
in-hand, but we are more certain of the sequence than the dates." Thus,
Issaries plans to release Orlanth is Dead! (ISS 1402) next and Hero's Book
(ISS 1002) after that. Additionally, A Promise of Thunder (ISS 4503) has
been pushed down the line indefinitely.
"We hate having to slow down," says Issaries president Greg Stafford, "but
we simply have no choice at this time."
Issaries still hopes to publish the 2nd edition of Hero Wars in early 2002.
"First edition Hero Wars is sold out. The second edition will be an
entirely new edition with art, professional editing and everything to
present a new game."
For more information on these titles, please go to www.HeroWars.com.
