Help us interview Firefly RPG’s Monica Valentinelli!

Attention Browncoats!

Last week, Margaret Weis Productions put up a pre-order for Gaming in the ‘Verse: GenCon 2013 Exclusive on their website for a softcover, full-color edition. What’s more, fans worldwide can also pre-order a PDF version on DriveThruRPG.com. So, regardless of whether or not you’re going to GenCon, you can order a copy on the MWP website and have it shipped right to your door, pick it up at the show, or grab a digital preview.

The description for this upcoming release states that the Exclusive will provide two, playable adventures and preview material for the upcoming Firefly RPG. Since MWP made the announcement back in March, there’s been a lot of chatter about what the game will be like.

To answer your questions, we’ve contacted Firefly RPG brand manager and lead writer Monica Valentinelli. She’s been wrangling the line and has revealed a few insights already, like the fact that this is a brand new license with Fox based on the Firefly television series and not a license with Universal for the Serenity movie.

Post your burning questions about the GenCon Exclusive below. Then, in a week or two, we’ll publish Monica’s answers to your queries.

You can Pre-Order the print edition at MargaretWeis.com or the eBook edition at DriveThruRPG.com!

First, I’m gonna echo @Bill_Templeton as I don’t see his Twitter comment here yet: “How does the Firefly RPG spin Cortex Plus in new and interesting directions?”

And my own. So, what is the business plan for Firefly? I see the first offering (Gaming in the ‘Verse) is kicking off two adventures – are we going to see a lot of world-building content? Are we going to rehash Six Shooters & Spaceships, and Big Damn Heroes? Will there be a bunch of narrowly targeted small PDF supplements as with Leverage?

I’m already running a Firefly game with unmodified Leverage rules, but I am stoked and excited for the new iteration!
